In her screenwriting, Walsh specializes in murdering people and making audiences laugh – sometimes in the same project. Her scripts have been finalists in many TV writing competitions including Austin Film Festival, Table Read My Screenplay (LA and Cannes), Outstanding Screenplays and Shore Scripts. And also in the Top 3% of projects on Coverly and been featured in their Top 20 and Red Lists.
Walsh also publishes a popular Substack newsletter, Letterbox: Bookish & Filmish and is founder of the literary mentoring organization Diaspora Dialogues which has worked with hundreds of writers across diverse communities. Previously she was a festival director and film producer. For a decade, she attended the G7 summits as accredited media, tracking issues including the transnational crime and migration ones often explored in her writing.
Walsh holds Canadian, UK and Irish/EU citizenship.
